The owners of Cumberworth Lodge live within the grounds and are actively involved in the day to day management of the home. They have extensive experience in caring for the elderly and are supported by a team of caring and experienced staff who are dedicated to meet the physical, psychological, social and religious needs of residents.
The health and well being of each resident is constantly assessed, reviewed and monitored. Residents are encouraged to keep their own General Practitioner who will provide medical cover or alternatively register with the local GP practice if they so wish.
The local vicar holds a monthly service and offers communion every four weeks in the Home. Residents are encouraged to attend the local church and chapel which are within easy reach. Transport can be provided.
Relatives and friends are welcome at any time and can participate in the activities of the Home. Meals for visitors can also be provided by prior arrangement.
Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture where practical and after prior arrangement with the Manager. Small items such as ornaments, photographs, pictures or any items of sentimental value may also be brought in to personalise the room.
All laundering is carried out on our premises except dry cleaning, which is undertaken by outside contractors for which a charge is made. It is recommended that garments should be machine washable and labelled with the resident's name.
